Lawyers Call President Biden Cooperative Regarding The Search For Federal Documents At His Residence

JAKARTA - The United States Department of Justice is conducting a planned search at President Joe Biden's beach house in Delaware, his lawyer said on Wednesday.

"We agreed to work together," President Biden's personal lawyer Bob Bauer said in a statement, saying more information would be released after the search was completed.

The Justice Department previously searched President Biden's home in Wilmington, Delaware and the office space he used.

It is known that classified documents were also found at the home of former Republican President Donald Trump and his former vice president, Mike Pence.

President Biden himself has promised to cooperate in the search, while Pence said he was responsible for the documents found.

Trump has rejected efforts to return the material he has, prompting the FBI to search its homes and resorts in Florida last year.

In this regard, US Attorney Generalhamphetamine Garland has appointed two separate special prosecutors to review Trump and Biden's handling of the documents, as the two plan to take part in the 2024 presidential election.

Meanwhile, the National Archives last week reportedly called on all former US presidents and vice presidents to examine their personal records, in order to find classified documents or other presidential material that should have been submitted when they left the office.
