Five People Searched Them For Employee Bus Accidents In Cikupa
The accident of a bus transporting factory employee at KM 31 A Toll Gate (GT) Cikupa, Tangerang Regency, on Friday evening, January 27, resulted in five passengers being injured.
"With the report of traffic accident at the Cikupa GT, we have monitored and it is known that five people suffered minor injuries as a result of the accident," said Head of PJR Serang Korlantas Polri Tangerang-Merak Toll Road Kompol Wiratno in Tangerang, Saturday, January 28.
The incident that occurred at around 17.10 WIB began when a bus with police number N 7358 UG was traveling from Jakarta to Merak.
Arriving at the crime scene (TKP), to be precise at the Cikupa toll gate, the employee pick-up bus allegedly suffered a failed brake, causing the bus to overturn.
"It is suspected that the brakes failed, continuing to hit the bullnose, so that the vehicle overturned tilted. The final position of the vehicle was tilted over the right wheel above facing the west," explained Wiratno, quoted from ANTARA.
After the accident, toll officials came and evacuated all passengers and the driver. Five injured passengers were taken to a nearby hospital.
"Officers at that time immediately evacuated passengers who were victims," he added.
Wiratno said that his party had not received any information about the number of passengers and which company the bus came from. The impact of the accident did not affect the flow of vehicle traffic around the scene because the officers immediately took care of it.
"The loss is estimated at around Rp. 3 million and in this incident we immediately submit the handling to the Tangerang Police Traffic Unit," he said.
