Ahead Of ASEAN Summit 2023, Ministry Of PUPR Tinjau Infrastructure In Labuan Bajo NTT
JAKARTA - In preparation for the 2023 ASEAN Summit, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) reviewed a number of infrastructures in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), on January 26-27, 2023.
The infrastructure reviewed is the Waterfront Marina and Puncak Waringin area which was inaugurated in July 2022 and Puncak Waringin which was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo in October 2021.
Therefore, PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said, so that local governments can optimize their management, so that it is utilized and maintained.
"We have built this area as well as possible with a budget that is not small, so I ask the Regent and partners, so that the facilities can be utilized and maintained properly, especially the plants must be watered regularly at least twice a day so they don't die, and keep it clean," said Basuki in his official statement, Friday, January 27.
The arrangement of the Waterfront Marina area aims to create open spaces and creative activity spaces for the community and tourists to enjoy the beauty of the Labuan Bajo sea.
This area is divided into five zones, including the Bukit Pramuka Zone 1, Zone 2 Kampung Air, Zone 3 Dermaga, Zone 4 Marina Beach area (Inaya Bay), and Zone 5 Kampung Ujung.
Zone 1-2 is carried out in September 2020-November 2021 with a budget of IDR 81 billion. The scope of the work of Zone 1 includes a Girak and gazebo pier, viewing tower, Kampung Baru promenade, toilet, pier A, SOG Kampung Baru, and power house. Zone 2 includes Tangga Bajo 1, dock B, Kampung Air Promenade, Tangga Bajo 2, Pink Pier and gazebo, toilets, as well as roads and canals.
Zones 3 and 5 are carried out by contractors PT Brantas Abipraya with a budget of IDR 207 billion, in September 2022-8 February 2022. The scope of work of Zone 3 includes a plaza, Tangga Bajo 3, MEP building, Tangga Bajo 4, toilet, parking lot, Tangga Bajo 5, green area, amphitheater, water park, trestal, and landscape.
Then, Zone 5 includes the Culinary of Ujung Village, toilet, Promenade Kampung Ujung, Tangga Bajo 6, and floating piers.
Meanwhile, Puncak Waringin was built with the aim of being a creative hub and a souvenir center that carries local wisdom.
The work of Puncak Waringin includes the construction of souvenir centers, weaving houses, amphitheaters, green open spaces, and parking areas. This area was built in August 2019-March 2021 with a budget of IDR 28.9 billion.
The two areas, which are part of the Labuan Bajo National Tourism Strategic Area (KSPN), will be used as venues for the ASEAN Summit series in May.

Atmawidjaja, Director of Settlement Area Development of the Directorate General of Human Settlements Johannes Wahju Kusumusanto, and Head of the Regional Settlement Infrastructure Center (BPPW) Normansjah Wartanobe.
