This Observer Gives Great Advice To Kaesang Try To Compete In The Executive But In 2029, Why?

JAKARTA - A political observer from Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta Abdul Hakim assessed that President Joko Widodo's youngest son, Kaesang Pangarep, was more appropriate to advance in the executive realm in 2029.

"Of course it will be more appropriate when Pak Jokowi is finished (completely serving as President of the Republic of Indonesia)," he said in Solo, Central Java, Friday, January 27, quoted by Antara.

However, he explained, it does not mean that Kaesang will advance in 2024 when Jokowi finished serving as President of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Indeed, in 2024 Pak Jokowi has finished, but he is still active. At that time he had just finished becoming president. Political influence is still very strong because of his track record as president," he said.

Moreover, he said, the level of public trust in President Jokowi is very high. Based on a survey from LSI, the level of public trust in President Joko Widodo is very high, namely 76 percent.

Seeing this figure, he said, means that Jokowi has a strong influence on electoral politics in Indonesia.

"This will definitely spread to close people, including close relatives, his children. It is proven to Gibran and Bobby. Even Gibran, seen that one period has not been completed, his electability in Central Java is already so high," he said.

According to him, regarding the advancement of Kaesang as an executive, it must be considered carefully. In fact, if necessary, Kaesang can start by entering a political party first.

"It's fine (to enter a political party), which is a problem when Mas Kaesang enters the executive or legislative, there is an oversupplicity of power from the president's family. There are many political powers there," he said.

However, if you become a member of a political party, he said, it would be good for regeneration.

"But if you hold power in the legislature or executive, I think it's a problem," he said.
