Indonesia Masters 2023: Men's Doubles Number One World It Hasn't Ended
JAKARTA The world number one men's doubles Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto successfully reached the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Masters 2023.

Fajar/Rian will next face fifth seed from China, Liu Yuchen/Ou Xuan Yi. This will be the fifth meeting for the two pairs.
"Tomorrow we have to keep fighting. No reason because the opponent also went through the previous three tours. So, whoever is better prepared will certainly win. We will continue to try to give our best," Fajar said at a press conference.
Previously, Fajar/Rian had met Liu/Ou at the Badminton Asia Championship, Indonesia Open, Singapore Open, BWF World Tour Finals. All of these meetings took place last year.
From the four previous meetings, Fajar/Rian recorded a win at the Badminton Asia and Singapore Open. Meanwhile, Liu/Ou won in the other two meetings.
Besides Fajar/Rian, the men's doubles ticket was also obtained by Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin. This pair defeated their senior steps Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan with scores, 21-14 and 21-17.
In the second round, Leo/Daniel will meet Keiichiro Matsui/Yoshinori Takeuchi. The Japanese pair got tickets for the quarter-finals after defeating Tan Kiang Meng/Tan Wee Kiong.
The success of Fajar/Rian and Leo/Daniel made Indonesia secure a total of three tickets in the men's doubles number. One other ticket was obtained by Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri.
Meanwhile, apart from The Daddies, the couple who are confirmed to return are Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo and Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani.
