The Elderly Fell At Tebet Station Because The Platform Was Too High, KAI Claimed To Have Not Received A Report
JAKARTA - An elderly woman (elderly) reportedly fell from a train platform at Tebet Station, South Jakarta. The incident went viral on social media after being posted via the @dramakrlcommuterline account.
It was stated that the incident occurred on Thursday, January 26, with the victim's statement on behalf of Ani Sulistiowati (60).
"Alhamdulillah, congratulations because it's too high, it's really true, even though it's not at all stations," said Ani in the account, Thursday, January 26.
Contacted separately, KAI Commuter External Relations & Corporate Image Care Manager Leza Arlan when contacted admitted that he had not received a report.
"If we don't get reports regarding these users," said Leza when confirmed, Thursday, January 26.
Nevertheless, Leza acknowledged that the platform made by the station was quite high. Therefore, he apologized for the inconvenience related to the platform.
"KAI Commuter apologizes profusely. The difference between height and gap of the platform has become a special concern by KAI Commuter as a commuterline operator," he said.
"KAI Commuter also gradually adds a portable ladder or ladder facility to overcome these obstacles," he continued.
The addition of the vehicle was already on the platform at Tenjo Station, Kemayoran Station and Pasar Senen Station to help the ups and downs of the drag drivers.
Not only adding insults in several locations, but KAI Commuter will also raise platforms at Cross Serpong stations, Kebayoran Station, Cisauk Station, Peron 1 Kampung Bandan Station, and Jambu Baru Station. The goal of this addition is also to ensure the safety of train travel.
For safety and mutual comfort, KAI Commuter appeals to all commuterline users, especially those who are waiting for their journey in the platform area to prioritize users, and not stand up to prevent users from leaving the commuterline and entering and leaving the commuterline in an orderly manner," he concluded.
