Facing the 2023 Global Recession Threat, the Ministry of Industry will Focus on Developing Industrial Programs

JAKARTA - Entering 2023, which is predicted to be a global recession, the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is optimistic that there is still great hope for improving national economic conditions.

In accordance with the president's direction that the design of the 2023 State Budget must always be Alert, Anticipatory and Responsive to various possible scenarios that move very dynamically and have the potential to cause turmoil, the 2023 fiscal policy must support Productivity Increases for Inclusive and Sustainable Economic Transformation.

Secretary General of the Ministry of Industry Dody Widodo invited all employees within the Ministry of Industry to become a driving force in implementing industrial development programs, as well as building synergies with business actors and other related agencies.

"In the context of accelerating industrial growth as part of national economic development efforts, as well as establishing equitable development, we need to prepare for anticipation and mitigation as early as possible so as not to disrupt the continuity of the national economic recovery program being carried out by the government," said Dody at the Ministry of Industry Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 25.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Finance Bureau of the Ministry of Industry, Kasduni, said that the accelerated implementation of the budget aims to evaluate the achievements of budget implementation and find out the obstacles to problems, as well as the solutions that need to be implemented, starting from planning implementation to the reporting stage.

"Thus, it is hoped that this year we can continue to improve the performance of budget execution, as well as financial reports in a correct and accountable manner towards Unqualified Financial Reports," he added.

The 2023 Budget Implementation Acceleration within the Ministry of Industry was also filled with a webinar "Improving the Quality of Budget Implementation and Optimizing PNBP within the Ministry of Industry" which presented speakers from relevant ministries/institutions, such as the Ministry of Finance and the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
