In The Aftermath Of The Corruption In Action To Install A Cross, 150 Mapia Residents Extended To Nabire

NABIRE- Dogiyai Police Chief Kompol Samuel Tatiratu admitted that as many as 150 residents had fled to Nabire using 16 vehicles including trucks.

A total of 150 residents who previously lived in Mapia District have been displaced since Sunday, January 22 night for fear of the security situation after the Mapia market stalls and burning that occurred on Saturday, January 21.

"Residents who do not evacuate at night secure themselves to the Mapia Police and Koramil," said Dogiyai Police Chief Kompol Samuel Tatiratu to ANTARA who contacted from Jayapura, Monday.

Currently, the security situation in Mapia District is gradually conducive, but members of the TNI and Polri are still on guard.

"In addition, the crowd reportedly attacked two truck drivers until they were injured by stab wounds and arrows," said Doiyai Police Chief Kompol Samuel Tatiratu.
