Leandro Trossard And New Hope With Arsenal
JAKARTA - Arsenal officially brought Leandro Trossard in the January 2023 transfer market. The Belgian player was recruited from Brighton and Hove Albion.
Trossard said he was happy to be joining Arsenal. He also already has a target with Meriam London.
The player who appeared at the 2022 World Cup felt confident he could develop further under Mikel Arteta's auspices, and bring success to the team.
"I'm very excited to start my journey with Arsenal," Trossard was quoted as saying on Arsenal's official website.
He added that he was ready to work hard to help the team achieve their goal of becoming champions. He considered Arteta also a great manager for the Gunners.
Trossard is also confident that with the support of fans, his motivation to perform better will be higher. "I am very happy to see the fans at the stadium. I hope to be able to give everything for them," he said.
"I want to try and create as many magical moments as possible, and hopefully we can celebrate it together," said Trossard, as quoted by Antara, Saturday, January 21.
Trossard has starred for Seagulls and at international levels in various positions, especially appearing on the left wing throughout his career. However, he has increasingly appeared as a second striker recently.
He felt the flexibility would help him thrive, especially after discussing his role in the team with Arteta and Sports Director Edu before sealing the transfer deal.
"They told me they really liked me as a player, that I would be very compatible with the gaming system. It gives the assumption that I can play in different positions. They are looking forward to working with me, and vice versa," Trossard said.
The 28-year-old has bagged seven goals this season, which culminated him in three goals at Anfield against Liverpool last October.
"Ini adalah musim terbaik saya di Liga Inggris. Kami melakukan pekerjaan dengan baik di Brighton dan performa saya di sana sangat bagus," ujarnya.
"After the World Cup, I didn't play much because of the situation, but I'm really excited to start here with Arsenal and show myself on the biggest stage for the top club," concluded Trossard.
