JATENG - Around 1,000 fishermen in Cilacap Regency demonstrated against the imposition of non-tax state revenues (PNBP) as regulated in Government Regulation Number 85 of 2021 because it burdens fishing communities.

The field coordinator for the Sugiyamin fishermen's demonstration said the implementation of PNBP of 10 percent was very burdensome for fishermen.

One of the materials discussed in the meeting was related to Government Regulation No. 85 of 2021 which was considered burdensome for fishermen in various regions.

"Today (19 January) representatives of the DPD HNSI Central Java are also having a meeting at the KKP to discuss the issue of PP Number 85 of 2021," he explained.

After the speech in front of the PPSC Office, the fishermen escorted by Cilacap City Police personnel moved to the Cilacap Regency DPRD Building to express their aspirations.
