Putri Candrawathi was sentenced to 8 years in prison in the alleged premeditated murder case of Yosua alias Brigadier J. This is because she is considered legally proven and convincingly violating Article 340 of the Criminal Code.

"Imposing (demand, ed) the defendant Putri Candrawathi with a prison sentence of 8 years minus a prison term," said the prosecutor during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday, January 18.

In the charge, there were several burdensome considerations. One of them caused the loss of the life of Yosua alias Brigadier J and grief caused deep wounds to the families of the victims.

"The defendant was convoluted and did not regret his actions," said the prosecutor.

In addition, there are also mitigating considerations. The prosecutor considered Putri Candrawati never to be punished and behaved politely during the trial process.
