Jasa Marga: Accelerating SEZ Development Encourages To Improve Vehicle Flows Entering The Manado-Bitung Toll Road
JAKARTA - PT Jasamarga Manado-Bitung said that the accelerated development of the Bitung industrial Special Economic Zone (SEZ) would encourage an increase in the flow of vehicles entering the Manado-Bitung toll road.
"We have also discussed this related to the Bitung SEZ, it will encourage accelerated implementation because it is one of the things that is included in our plan to be a driver for the use of toll roads," said the Managing Director of PT Jasamarga Manado Bitung, Florysco Partogi Siahaan in Manado, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, January 18.
Likewise, with the development of the Port of Bitung which is continuously being carried out by the government, it is also hoped that it will increase the volume of vehicles crossing the longest toll road in Sulawesi.
"We hope that the end of the COVID-19 pandemic will increase the flow of transportation at ports where vehicles cross the toll road," he said.
The Mayor's Regulation related to vehicle restrictions in the Manado area which has been discussed together is also expected to have a positive impact on toll road utilization.
"We will also see how it develops later, for sure we have tried to build communication with the parties on how to optimize toll road utilization," he said.

Jasamarga Manado Bitung, Florysco continued, in relation to optimizing vehicles entering the toll road, they have established communication with the Indonesian Logistics and Forwarders Association.
"Coordination has also been built with stakeholders, as well as when there was a visit from presidential staff to increase the utility of this toll road," he said.
It was observed that only a small number of vehicle traffic carrying goods (class II and above) from Bitung to North Minahasa and Manado City or vice versa, still only entered the toll road, most of them still followed the main roads even though they were dealing with traffic jams.
