Traditional Violence In The World Of Education, High School Alumni At The South Jakarta Islamic Boarding School, Tatar Junior, Hash Mental
JAKARTA A video that shows the orientation of students acting in violence should be a concern for government institutions or institutions within the scope of education. This is because the existence of acts of violence taught by seniors (allumni) against juniors is a formation of a tradition of violence in the world of education. What encourages brawls often occurs.
Reviewing previous news, a video shows the violence committed by a number of students. It was later discovered that they (the juniors) were fighting each other, on the orders of their seniors, who had graduated (the alumni).
In the video you can see, the two students fight surrounded by their friends. They let the two fight, even though it was limited to training. The students are students at a high school in the Pesanggrahan area of South Jakarta.
Looking deeper into the dangerous activities carried out by the students, VOI journalists visited the location where they trained. Precisely on Jalan Haji Rohimin RT 09/03, Pesanggrahan.
Tuesday, January 17, at 16.37 WIB, the road is a dead end. That afternoon only a few local residents were seen observing their pets.
In a corner near the shady trees and on the edge of the Pesanggrahan river, where the students gather and commit violence, fights between friends are just for training.
Jamal, one of the local residents, admitted that at that time he saw teenagers hanging around and getting hit. Jamal said, the action had happened twice.
"Saturday or evening the previous week (January 7). It's the same yesterday (January 14). So they do it every Sunday night," Jamal said when met at the location, Tuesday, January 17.
Jamal admitted that he saw the action did not have the heart. But he did not dare to disperse the action.
"I was there on Saturday afternoon, just sit down. I don't look there, I can't bear it. It's not that we are stupid or irresponsible or what, no. Because we see the masses (numbers)," he said.
Jamal said the burglary was finally over, after they disbanded by themselves.
"He disbanded by himself, no one broke up," he concluded.
The Head of Pesanggrahan Police, Kompol Nazirwan, confirmed the action. The incident occurred in the Pesanggrahan area, on Saturday, January 14, at 20.30 WIB.
Furthermore, he explained that the incident was known to have started from reports from the public about the existence of the incident.
Based on the report, his staff conducted an investigation until they finally took action by securing five teenagers who were suspected of being involved in the incident. They are ARD (21), BTS (21), ARR(24), BS (23), and MR (34).
"We managed to secure five people with different roles, two people were indeed involved, alumni' status and were involved in these activities or activities," Nazirwan said when confirmed, Monday, January 16.
"Meanwhile, the other three people were residents who happened to be passing by and were at the location and were recorded by the video circulating," he continued.
Nazirwan revealed that this activity was a tradition at his school carried out by alumni of his juniors. In fact, this tradition has been carried out since 2008.
These activities are orientational from alumni to their younger siblings whose status is still in class 3. It is a tradition, a tradition in the form of a jacket fight with consequences as soon as the jacket is not obtained," he said.
"For those involved so far, from the information we have obtained, the students involved are approximately 25 people," he added.
