Kaesang Pangarep And Atta Halilintar, Supporters Of Erick Tohir Maju As Candidates For PSSI Chair

JAKARTA Kaesang Pangarep assesses that Erick Thohir is able to lead the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI). The son of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), believes that Erick is the right person.

"Even though it's only been a year in Persis Solo, the impact (impact) given is extraordinary. So I think he will be able to lead PSSI," said Kaesang praising the Minister of SOEs.

Today, Erick officially submitted the registration file to run as a candidate for PSSI General Chair to the PSSI Office at the GBK Arena, Sunday, January 15.

Erick when registering was accompanied by Kaesang, Raffi Ahmad and Atta Halilintar. To this day, Erick is reported to have received 60 votes of support.

Meanwhile, Atta said that he hoped that whoever came up to lead PSSI, should be able to fix Indonesian football. He wants national football to have achievements that can be proud of.

"I am the important thing to fight for the best. Moreover, we love a lot of football. We pray for the best for our football for whatever we live. Pray for the best," said Atta Halilintar.

Meanwhile, former PSSI Secretary General Ratu Tisha said Erick was not new. Erick, said Thasha, has been poor across the world of sports.

"First, I really admire Pak Erick's figure. Maybe my friend or some time ago I was involved in the FIBA Asia Cup. I have to learn a lot from him and how to analyze Erick's thoughts to be able to apply precision programs," he said.

Tisha herself has submitted the file for the candidate for Deputy General Chairperson of PSSI. He received support from six voters to move forward to occupy the position.

Apart from Erick Thohir, Chairman of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) RI AA La Nyalla Mahmud Mattalitti has also registered as a candidate. Meanwhile, Mochamad Iriawan alias Iwan Bule, tried to continue his position as chairman of PSSI.

The election of the General Chair, Deputy General Chair, and members of the Executive Committee will be held at the Extraordinary Congress (KLB) which will take place on February 16.
