BOGOR - Bogor City Police revealed that the teenager who died as a result of stopping a truck on Jalan Sholeh Iskandar was a victim of a hit-and-run. The teenager did the action for the sake of content on social media (medsos).
The driver of the initials AR (38) who was called by the police deliberately did not stop his vehicle and hit the victim on Thursday night, January 5, who was named a suspect.

Bismo said that the driver and evidence in the form of a truck had been secured by the Law Enforcement Unit (Gakkum) of the Bogor City Police Traffic Unit.
According to a report by the Bogor City Police Traffic Unit, it was true that there were more than two people on Thursday, January 5 at around 21.15 WIB, on Jalan Sholeh Iskandar who were stopping trucks for the sake of content, commonly referred to as Rojali.
When stopping the truck, a 20-year-old teenager died on the spot after being hit by a truck he stopped. The truck fled until it was arrested three days later.
Head of the Bogor City Police Traffic Unit, Kompol Galih Apria, explained that after receiving a report on the incident on Thursday night, January 5, the Satlantas officers immediately processed the crime scene (TKP) and sought information either through witnesses or several videos.
Then the young man's body did not take long, officers took him to his family in South Bogor District and the next day he was buried.
"That same night we continued to dig up information and chase the truck driver, for three days the search was finally found, the truck driver (AR, 38) along with the truck. That night, the truck was carrying septic or sandstone, for cargo it did not exceed its capacity," he said.
On Tuesday, January 10, officers conducted an in-depth investigation and asked for information regarding the driver's accountability for the crash, whether there was an element of intent or negligence with realizing it or without realizing it.
"We will look at several points of view, as well as the results of the crime scene, last night we will also conduct urine tests on the truck driver," he said again.
Kompol Galih conveyed the results of the title of the traffic accident case on Wednesday, January 11, the police decided that the driver with the initials AR (38) as a truck driver was a suspect and must be held accountable for his actions in accordance with Article 312 of the Traffic Law No. 22 of 2009.
This is because AR is proven to have deliberately not stopped his vehicle, did not provide assistance, or did not report traffic accidents to the nearest police, police or police post as referred to in Article 231 paragraph (1) letter a, letter b, and letter c without reason that should be punished with imprisonment for a maximum of three years.
In his statement to the officers, said Galih, the truck driver had resumed his work, and for two days hid in his house.
