Angela Bassett, First MCU Actor Wins Golden Globes 2023 For Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Angela Bassett became the first actor to win an award for the Marvel film at the 2023 Golden Globes. She received the trophy directly on Tuesday, January 10, Los Angeles time, which was handed over by Eddie Murphy.

Bassett won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture. Her role as Queen Ramonda in the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever became the second nominee after 1994.

"January 22, 1994, I stand on this stage and receive the Golden Globe for What's Love Got To Do With It," said Angela Bassett, starting her speech.
