National Police Chief Sigit Ensured That The TNI-Polri Would Continue To Oversee President Jokowi's Policy In Papua

JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo together with the TNI Commander Admiral Yudo Margono ensured that he would continue to oversee President Jokowi's policy in Papua as a form of fifth principle, namely social justice for all Indonesian people. "However, of course, there are still challenges being faced," said National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo after inaugurating the new building of the Papua Police through a written statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Sunday, December 8.

According to the National Police Chief, these obstacles, for example, there are still parties who may think differently and are not sure that Papua in the future will become one of the centers of economic growth outside Java. President Jokowi, said the National Police Chief, continues to concentrate on improving the economy and development in the Land of Papua. One example of success is the implementation of the XX National Sports Week (PON) in Papua. "So, it is a form of commitment that the government continues to pay full attention to the people and the Land of Papua," said Sigit.

On that occasion, the former Banten Police Chief also instructed the Papua Police Chief to continue to improve the quality of police services after the inauguration of the new Papua Regional Police building. "All ranks of the Papua Police must improve the quality of service, especially to people who need police services," said the National Police Chief. General Sigit emphasized that providing services to the community is an obligation to prove that public offices are not just places to work, but can also provide maximum service and can be felt by the community.
