BOGOR - Head of Bogor Resort Police, West Java, AKBP Iman Imanuddin revealed the fabrication of the kidnapping by a mother with the initials Y after using Rp45 million without the knowledge of her husband."The woman with the initials Y and her child who went missing on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, were not kidnapped, but pretended to be kidnapped for using Rp45 million to pay off debts without her husband's knowledge," he said in Cibinong, Bogor, quoted from Antara, Friday, January 6.Iman explained that the kidnapping scenario was made by Y after using Rp45 million without the knowledge of her husband to pay debts to one of his colleagues."Sister Y used her husband's money to feel afraid to report it," explained Iman.Then, Y took his son away from the house and went to the Cijeruk area. Then, Y, assisted by his friend with the initials T, took pictures as if he was being kidnapped with his mouth tied and his head covered in black cloth while carrying his child.Furthermore, the photo was sent to Y's husband via WhatsApp message with a statement asking for a ransom of Rp. 50 million.However, not yet completing the scenario, Y was already afraid so he decided to go home with his partner to Jalan Raya Cisarua."Then Y pretended to ask people for help and contacted his parents," said Iman.The woman with the initial Y was found by residents at around 04.00 WIB on Friday, January 6, 2023, and was immediately escorted to the Cisarua Police Station.Y's husband, accompanied by members of the Babakanmadang Police, immediately picked Y at the Cisarua Police."Meanwhile, regarding this case, we are still investigating a fellow victim who is also planning a kidnapping scenario," said Iman.
