Manchester United Vs Everton, Erik Ten Hag Bahas Soal Kondisi Jadon Sancho

JAKARTA - Manchester United will face Everton in the FA Cup third round match, Friday, January 6. MU manager, Erik ten Hag, will not play Jadon Sancho.

Ten Hag admitted that he could not rush to play the player from England. In fact, he did have a target when the winger would return to action.

Sancho, who was recruited 18 months ago from Borussia Dortmund with this big score, has not appeared again for United since October 2022. The last time he played 52 minutes was when the Red Devils drew 1-1 against Chelsea.

Ten Hag once said the 22-year-old was "not in the right status or fitness condition". Sanho also missed two United tour matches in Spain and instead placed on an individual fitness program in the Netherlands.

Sancho has returned to the club's training ground at Carrington but his involvement has so far been limited to small group sessions as he is concentrating on his own program.

"I want Jadon back as soon as possible, but I can't force this process. I will do everything in my authority but some processes you can't force and this is one of them," Ten Hag said as quoted by Antara from AFP, Friday, January 6.

"I also have to show patience even though I don't have patience because we have few chances for the front lines, players available and able to contribute not only to the Premier League but also to the highest standards in football."

"Jadon is a player who, when he is fit, will contribute and we will have extra options so we have more chances to win many games."

Ten Hag believes Sancho is heading in the right direction but says that the road is still long before the player is deemed ready to return to form.

"Regarding physical, there is also a mental relationship," he said. I think he is now making good progress in the physical part and that will help him.

"I hope he can come back quickly but I can't say how long it will take. At this point, he's not fit enough, no. We have some obstacles to take. I think he (towards) in a good direction."
