Rain Still Falling Jakarta, 19 Neighborhood Associations Flooded Up to 1 Meter
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has recorded an increase in the number of areas inundated by flooding due to moderate to heavy rains from this afternoon to this afternoon.
As of 17.00 WIB, it was still raining in the Jakarta area. A total of 19 RTs (Neighborhood Associations) in East Jakarta and South Jakarta were also flooded. Previously, it was recorded that the flood had only inundated 2 RTs at 15.00 WIB.
The BPBD noted that inundation that previously occurred in 2 RTs, is now 19 RTs or 0.062 percent of the 30,470 RTs in the DKI Jakarta area", said Jakarta BPBD Implementing Head, Isnawa Adji, in his statement, Wednesday, January 4.
In East Jakarta, there is 1 RT which was flooded in Tengah Village with water levels reaching 50 centimeters.
In South Jakarta, there are 18 submerged RTs. In detail, 1 RT in Cipulir Village with a water level of 60 centimeters, 1 RT in Gunung Kelurahan with a water level of 45 centimeters, 10 RT in Kramat Pela Village with a water level of 40 centimeters, 5 RT in Kuningan Barat Village with a water level of 60 centimeters, and 1 RT in Pela Mampang Village with water levels reaching 40 centimeters.

All flood points this afternoon were caused by high rainfall. Particularly in Kuningan Barat Village, flooding was also caused by the overflow of the Mampang and Krukut Rivers.
Isnawa said that the DKI Jakarta BPBD has deployed personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each area and coordinate elements from the SDA Service, Bina Marga Service, and Gulkarmat Service to suck up the puddles and ensure the water lines function properly together with the local village heads and sub-district heads.
"The inundation is targeted to recede quickly", he said.
