KPK: Chairman Of Kadin Arsjad Rasyid Pasti Called In The Lukas Enembe Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that it will recall the chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Arsjad Rasyid as a witness. He is believed to know about the abusive practice carried out by Papua Governor Lukas Enembe.
"Just wait, be patient, definitely called," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Wednesday, January 4.
Ali has not detailed when Arsyad's summons will be made. However, he said, this second summons would definitely be made in order to investigate the alleged corruption that ensnared Lukas Enembe.
All information related to the investigation of alleged corruption will certainly be submitted to the public. "We will check again later, whether there is or not. Because this is still yesterday, December then January," he said.
"We will definitely convey it," continued Ali.
Arsjad is absent from the summons of KPK investigators in the Lukas Enembe case on December 13. There is no information regarding his absence even though appropriate summons has been made.
As previously reported, Lukas Enembe has been named a suspect in alleged corruption by the KPK. However, he did not fulfill the investigator's summons because he was sick.
Furthermore, the KPK left for Jayapura on Thursday, November 3 to examine Lukas. The examination was carried out at his home.
At that time, the KPK team consisting of independent doctors and investigators were present led by KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri. Arriving in Jayapura, Firli had a chance to talk with Lukas.
During the conversation, Firli asked about Lukas' condition and spoke for about 15 minutes. Even so, Lukas' examination did not last long because he was sick.
