JAKARTA - The Bintan Police have completed the handling of 112 criminal cases or 75 percent of the total cases that occurred throughout 2022. There are only 24 more cases that are still homework for the Bintan Police.

"Criminal cases in Bintan 2022 are dominated by motor vehicle theft and sexual abuse of minors," said the Bintan Police Chief.
Meanwhile, for the handling of drug cases in Bintan in 2022, he said, three cases increased to 28 cases compared to 2021 as many as 25 cases.
Likewise, the number of drug suspects arrested, of which in 2022 there will be 36 people, an increase of two people compared to 2021 as many as 34 people.
This year's drug evidence also increased dramatically, namely for the type of methamphetamine of around 7 kilograms compared to last year's 1 kilogram. Then the types of marijuana that were successfully secured this year were 17 kilograms compared to last year's 27 grams.
Meanwhile, the 2021 ecstasy pills were 199 pills, an increase of 63 pills to 262 pills in 2022.
"For happy five pills, there is still no circulation in Bintan," he said.
Furthermore, the Bintan Police Chief said that for 2023 his party would try more optimally in terms of protection, protection, and law enforcement so that criminal cases would decrease compared to before.
