Fearing Graham Potter Sees James' Receiver Injuries Again When Bournemouth's Opponent
JAKARTA - Chelsea coach Graham Potter admits he is worried about the condition of his player, Reece James in the match against Bournemouth. That's because the player's injury recurred again.
In the 2022/2023 Premier League continued on Wednesday, December 28 in the morning WIB, Chelsea won 2-0 over Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge. However, the victory was paid handsomely with Reece James' condition.
This match is actually the 23-year-old's first game since recovering from a knee injury that saw him miss the 2022 World Cup. However, just 53 minutes away, Reece James was forced to be pulled out.
This situation makes Potter anxious. Moreover, the injury he suffered occurred in the same location as before. However, Potter is still waiting for developments from the medical team.
(The injury) was in the same area, so we were worried. Too soon (to say details). We have to look at it for the next 24-48 hours," said Graham Potter.
"He (Reece James) felt something there and we will look for ways to break it and wish him luck," he continued, quoted by the BBC, Wednesday, December 28.
Regarding the resurfaced injury, Potter said it clearly made Reece James disappointed. Moreover, the same situation forced the player to miss the 2022 World Cup.
With the quality of the game useful for the team, this injury will be a bit unfortunate. But, in the end Potter can only hope that the player's condition can improve quickly.
''He can play with any team in the world, and any team will lose him. The plan is to play 60 minutes today. So now of course he is disappointed.
"We hope it's not as bad as it looks and he can recover quickly," Potter hopes for Reece James' recovery.
