Budget Suction Of IDR 30 Billion, East Jakarta City Government Add 18 New Mobile Pumps Prevent Floods

JAKTIM - A total of 18 mobile pump units or mobile trailers are prepared to anticipate flooding that has the potential to fall during the rainy season in East Jakarta (East Jakarta).

East Jakarta Mayor Muhammad Anwar said the 18 pump units consisted of two units with a capacity of 1,000 liters per second, four units with a capacity of 400-500 liters per second, and 12 units with a capacity of 250-300 liters per second.

"This submission is one of the results of a previous study, we need pumps to reduce inundation and flooding. Finally, we conducted a study and the SDA Sub-Department conducted procurement. There are 18 pump units," said Muhammad Anwar in Jakarta, Monday, December 26,

Anwar added that each pump was distributed to several points that were considered flood-prone in the East Jakarta area.

He said that 1,000 liters per second of water pumps were placed in the Cipinang Indah area, and in Rawa Terate Cakung.

For a capacity of 400-500 liters per second, one unit is placed in Pulo Village, and three units are placed in Bidara Cina.

"The 300 liters per second are distributed to 10 sub-districts, the other two are on standby," said Anwar.

Anwar said that later the operation of the water pump would be carried out by each Head of the East Jakarta SDA Implementing Unit (Kasatpel).

The total procurement of 18 mobile pumps spent a budget of IDR 30 billion. With the addition of 18 new pumps, it complements 46 other water pumps that were previously owned by the East Jakarta City Government (Pemkot).

"Hopefully this pump can help relieve or reduce flooding in the East Jakarta area, especially 10 sub-districts," he said.
