The National Police Denies The Implementation Of Senpi In Areas In The Surakarta Palace: It Did Not HAPPEN
The polemic that occurred within the Kraton Kasunanan Surakarta was also in the spotlight of the National Police's institution.
The National Police hopes that the conflict within the Kraton Kasunanan will soon find a common thread so that the situation can be conducive to family reconciliation.
Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes M Iqbal Alqudusy, said that the Kasunanan Palace is an important asset of the nation and pride of the people of Central Java, especially Surakarta.
"The problem that occurred was an internal problem of the Kasunanan Palace. We hope that there will be a complete solution that can be received by the parties involved," said Kombes Iqbal, Sunday, December 25.
Meanwhile, regarding the commotion involving the Kasunanan Palace with the Indigenous Council Institute (LDA) on Friday night, December 23, Iqbal ensured that there was no action against members of the National Police.
"There is no holding or misuse of weapons as reported," he said.
The presence of members of the National Police in Kraton, he continued, was based on a written request by Kraton Kasunanan to the police. According to the SOP, their job in the Kraton environment is to guard.
"There were four members on duty at the Palace. At the time of the incident they actually intervened with disputed parties but there was no holding action as stated," he explained.
Even though they did not take the action, he continued, the members were still being questioned. One member was examined directly at the Bidpropam Polda Central Java
"Currently, the Regional Police's Bidpropam has investigated it," he said.
Meanwhile, the Surakarta Police Chief, Kombes Iwan Saktiadi, explained that from the information obtained by his party, the action of holding firearms (senpi) by members of the National Police did not occur.
"Based on internal examinations, there was no incident (creation)," he said.
Iwan encourages the resolution of internal problems at the Surakarta Palace.
"As parties outside Kraton, we see that this problem is a problem within the Kraton family. I have discussed this matter with the Mayor of Surakarta. The point is that the Mayor (Gibran) hopes that there will be reconciliation. We hope that all problems will be resolved soon," he said.
Regarding the placement of members in Kraton Surakarta, Iwan emphasized that this was a request from Sinuhun Pakubuwono XIII. According to the SOP assigned by Polri members, one of the equipment brought was firearms.
"So far there is also no plan for the withdrawal of members on guard at Kraton, because the guard by the Police there is Sinuhun's request. The detention action by members as reported is not there," he said.
