3 People Died Covered In Land Land Land Land Land During The Burst Of Melanda Tinggimoncong Gowa

Three residents of Tinggimoncong District, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, reportedly died as a result of being buried by landslides following heavy rains with high intensity that hit the area.

Head of the Gowa Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Ikhsan Parawagnsah in Gowa, Saturday, said that landslides occurred after almost a week of high-intensity rain continued.

"Heavy rains made the river overflow and the soil in the hills into landslides. Information on three victims was lost due to landslides," he said.

Landslides occurred in Bontolerung Village, Tinggimoncong District, Gowa Regency. The three residents who were reported missing were Muhammad Arsyad, Anwar and Hasan.

Ikhsan Parawangsa said the landslide disaster occurred on Saturday, December 24, at around 03.00 WITA.

He said that since receiving the news, his party together with other SAR teams immediately went to the location to search for victims.

Ikhsan admitted that the three victims had been found dead. His party was still at the scene to help clean up the landslide material.

In addition to casualties, landslide materials also hoarded one housing unit. Meanwhile, the other two houses were carried away by the river current.

"Based on the data collection of our members, the provisional estimate of the disaster loss is around Rp. 500 million more," he said.
