SUMUT - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno ensured that Toba Regency in North Sumatra (North Sumatra) was ready to host the F1H2O world speed boat race or the fast boat race. The competition is scheduled to be held in February 2023.

"Today, we will confirm the readiness of F1H2O ready to go. On February 24-26 2022, we will hold F1 (racing) on water at a speed of more than 300 kilometers/hour and this will be an extraordinary attraction for Lake Toba's super priority destinations," he said in a written statement, confiscated by Antara, Saturday, December 24.

Later, Mulia Rajai Napitupuli Port will function as a media center, trauma center, office area for the F1H20 committee, and hospitality suite for VVIP guests.

"So, we prepare this and hope that the next 25 thousand visitors will have extraordinary experiences and local economic impacts not only for the people of Balige, but also for the entire tourism and creative economy ecosystem in eight districts in North Sumatra and there will also be many foreign tourists coming," he said.

The number of visitors is projected to grow every year because F1H2O is an annual event.

The Regent of Toba Poltak Sitorus added that F1H2O will bring economic growth and increase development in the Lake Toba area.

"The economic benefits, especially in this region, will have a tremendous impact both on the people's economy and development growth in this place," he said.
