Lampung Regional Police Add 255 Reserves For Krakatau Candle Operations 2022

JAKARTA - The Lampung Regional Police (Polda) added 255 reserve personnel to the 2022 Krakatau Candle Operation in order to secure the 2022 Christmas Celebration and 2023 New Year.

"The thickening of these personnel is to assist security at Bakauheni Integrated Posts, airports, terminals, train stations, and tourist attractions (bases), which are in the jurisdiction of the Lampung Regional Police," said Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Regional Police, Kombes Pol Zahwani Pandra Arsyad, quoting Antara, Saturday.

He said that the addition of 255 personnel is expected to provide a sense of security and comfort to the community in facing the Christmas and New Year's agenda.

Pandra also said that the Lampung Regional Police had carried out mapping for security objects on Christmas and New Year, consisting of 1,018 churches, one airport, 14 terminal locations, 13 train station locations, and three port locations.

"Then 234 tourist attractions and 61 shopping centers and 84 hotels will be the focus of security during Christmas and New Year celebrations," he said again.

In providing maximum service to residents who will go home for Christmas and New Year, the Lampung Police also prepare as many as 74 security posts (pospam), consisting of 55 pospam, 18 service posts (posyan) and one integrated post.

"Posts will be prepared at service points to people who will carry out mobility in all modes of transportation while still implementing health procedures, as well as providing health services at terminals, train stations, ports and airports," he also said.

The Head of Public Relations of the Lampung Police also appealed to people who are on vacation and celebrating Christmas and New Year's Day, if they reach and are tired of traveling using vehicles to rest in safe places, such as at rest areas on toll roads and parking pockets that are safe on arterial roads.
