Christmas Holidays Starting, 102,836 Cars Leave The Capital Via Cikampek Utama Toll Gate
JAKARTA - 102,836 vehicles leaving Jakarta heading east through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT) in the period D-7 to D-5 Christmas Day 2022.
"The volume of vehicles leaving the Jakarta area increased 24.58 percent compared to normal traffic of 82,543 vehicles," said AVP Marketing, Communication and Sustainability Management of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Toll Road M. Sonny Saputra in Bekasi, Wednesday, December 21, quoted from Antara.
PT Jasamarga Transjawa also recorded an increase in the volume of vehicle traffic that crossed GT Kalilungkung and Banyumanik in Central Java Province and GT Warugunung, Kepangan Utama, and GT Singosari in East Java Province in the same period.
At the Kalikangkung GT to Semarang, there were 61,095 vehicles recorded, an increase of 37.58 percent from normal traffic of 44,407 vehicles. 57,712 vehicles left Semarang, an increase of 25.63 percent from normal traffic, namely 45,938 vehicles.
Then at the Banyumanik GT, there were 89,108 vehicles heading to Semarang, an increase of 29.72 percent from normal traffic of 68,694 vehicles, while those leaving Semarang were recorded at 86,110 vehicles, an increase of 40.79 percent from normal traffic of 61,163 vehicles.
The increase in the volume of vehicles also occurred in the East Java region. A total of 67,605 vehicles passed to Surabaya via the Warugunung GT, an increase of 24.88 percent compared to normal traffic of 54,138 vehicles, while vehicles leaving Surabaya were recorded as 57,274 vehicles, an increase of 14.03 percent from normal traffic of 50,227 vehicles.
At the Kejapanan Utama GT, 88,618 vehicles passed to Surabaya, up 8.9 percent from normal traffic of 81,379 vehicles, while vehicles leaving Surabaya were recorded at 88,628 vehicles, an increase of 15 percent from normal traffic of 77,068 vehicles.
Similar conditions occurred at GT Singosari with 41,239 vehicles heading to Malang, an increase of 15.47 percent from normal traffic of 35,714 vehicles, with 41,544 vehicles leaving Malang, up 15.83 percent from 35,856 normal traffic vehicles.
PT JTT urges road users to prepare themselves before entering the trip by ensuring that they and their vehicles are in top condition, ensuring sufficient fuel and electronic money balances, and complying with signs and directions from officers in the field.
