Amber Heard Completes The Defamation Case With Johnny Depp

JAKARTA - Amber Heard decided to end the feud over the defamation case with Johnny Depp. Previously, both parties appealed the results of the trial and the demands received.

Through his Instagram account, Heard wrote a statement not because he felt guilty. But he experienced the difficult experience of dealing with the legal system in the United States.

"It's important to emphasize that I've never voted like this. I keep my truth and when I do it my life starts to collapse," Amber Heard wrote on Tuesday, December 20.

The slander that I receive through social media is how women are always sacrificed when they speak out, he continued.

According to him, this is a concession action that refers to the American legal system. Heard's opinion and honesty were deemed useless because of it.

"I made this decision because I lost faith in the American legal system, where my unprotected testimony was used as food for social media and entertainment," Heard continued.

The Aquaman star explained the difference when he was in British and American courts. When he was declared to have to pay a fine, it was when he felt he couldn't fight for it anymore.

"Even if the United States appeal is successful, the best result is a retrial in which the new judges should consider more evidence. I can't go through the same thing for the third time," he said.

I want to spend time productively and not be able to face the impossible (fine) risks. It's not just a matter of money but it's about emotional, psychological, and physical. Women shouldn't be abusive or bankrupt to talk about honesty, but unfortunately this is unusual," Heard continued.

Amber Heard ends her writing by thanking people who put their trust in her. She believes she will continue to speak up in truth and will not change that.

"Thank you. See you," concluded Amber Heard.

He also stated that he would focus on work that made him feel appreciated. With this, Amber Heard is willing to pay compensation of US $ 1 million or equivalent to Rp. 15.6 billion to Johnny Depp.
