JAKARTA - Sergio Aguero's friendship and his blind trust in Lionel Messi have given him a lot of money.

On Instagram, he admits to winning a bet thanks to Messi, something he thinks he almost forgot about.

A month before the final, Aguero bet $1.000 that the Albiceleste captain will be named the best player of the World Cup in Qatar.

Aguero was involved in the post-final celebration and only then did he realize that he won the bet, admitting he really forgot about it.

To prove his victory, Aguero uploaded a picture of his virtual betting slip showing how much he installed and how much he won.

The winner of the Messi tournament was worth 8.25 and Aguero set up $1,000. That earned him around $8,300, which with a rupiah exchange rate of around Rp129.2 million.
