Lionel Messi's Moment Of Wearing Traditional Arabic Clothing Endowed By Bisht During The 2022 World Cup Trophylifting Instead Of Tuai's Blasphemy
JAKARTA - Lionel Messi wore a bisht robe before taking the podium to lift the 2022 World Cup trophy which Argentina won. However, the use of the robe has drawn criticism.
The bisht was worn by Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani before Messi took the podium. The black shirt is transparent and decorated to look at the gold into traditional Arab clothing.
As the host of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, it seems that he wants to give a distinctive treat, one of which is by asking Messi to wear a bisht robe at a special moment.

Instead of getting a positive response to the wearing of the robe, it led to criticism. A series of former footballers who became commentators voiced concerns about the bisht robe worn by La Pulga.
"It's a pity how they cover up Messi wearing an Argentine shirt," former England striker Gary Lineker was quoted as saying by the Mirror on Monday, December 19.
Comments about the use of a bisht robe were also expressed by former Argentine national team player, Pablo Zabaleta.
"Why? Why? There's no reason to do that (encourage the jersey with the robe)," said Zabaleta when he was a commentator with Lineker.
Meanwhile, Alan Shearer actually highlighted the presence of FIFA President Gianni Infantino on the podium. He joked that no one could guard Messi as well as Infantino.
"I don't think Infantino will let him go either," Shearer said. "No one keeps him that closely in the game."
Regarding the bisht robe, Messi was then seen wearing it for only a moment. Because when the moment of the third star installation on the Argentine jersey, the special robe was removed by the Albiceleste captain and appeared proud of the team uniform.
