Different Religions With The Mother, Susan Sameh Joins Christmas By Going To The Church

JAKARTA - Actress Susan Sameh reveals an interesting experience in her family. Even though she embraces Islam, she still celebrates Christmas with her mother who has different beliefs.

Suaan Sameh plans to spend Christmas and New Year this time with her family who embrace Christianity. "This new year I want to go to Bandung, I want to celebrate Christmas with mom. Mami, I'm excited about Christmas, so I'm with my mom, that's how I want the new year there," said Susan Sameh when met by media crews in the Senayan area on Saturday, December 17.

The actress of Egyptian and Chinese descent admitted that her family, which has different beliefs, upholds tolerance. "I am very tolerant of my mother, because whatever we choose, belief is in us, so I don't want to judge people or force my mother," he said.

Even Susan Sameh is really looking forward to this year's Christmas celebration, after not being able to celebrate Christmas at church in the previous year. This year's Christmas was really happy, because last year my mom couldn't go to church because of the pandemic, hopefully this year she can go to church to celebrate Christmas and pray, "said Susan.

Susan explained her involvement in the Christmas celebration as a form of her support for her mother's beliefs. "For example, my mother supports me, I know that even though my family has different religions, it's like me and my mother. But I still support you," she said.

On the other hand, the mother also supports the various worships performed by Susan Sameh. "The important thing is that when she was celebrating I was with her, because even during the fasting month, my mother was fasting, she actually likes to wake up the sahur," he continued.

Susan Sameh explained that what she had done to her mother had been going on for years, and they were fine to live it. "I mean, if it's the new year, I always try to be as busy as I can for the new year with my mom and family. So I try when my mom celebrates, I also have," he concluded.
