Accelerate Stunting Reduction, BKKBN Updates 35.31 Million Family Data

JAKARTA - The National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) reported that half of the total 68,487,139 Indonesian family data had been updated in 2022.

The updating activity aims to accelerate stunting reduction and eliminate extreme poverty in the country.

The data updating process, which ran during September to November 2022, has succeeded in updating 35,309,446 of the 68,487,139 Indonesian family data recorded in 2021.

"A total of 35.3 million data from the updating will be submitted to stakeholders," said Deputy for Advocacy, Mobilization and Information (Adpin) of BKKBN Sukaryo Teguh Santoso, quoted by Antara, Sunday, December 18.

BKKBN will submit the results of updating data at the Dissemination of Family Data Collection Results and Stunting Data Forum at Hotel Santika Premiere ICE BSD City, Tangerang, on 19--20 December 2022.

Dissemination will present eight main resource persons, namely the Head of BKKBN Hasto Wardoyo, Deputy for Advocacy, Mobilization, and Information for BKKBN Sukaryo Teguh Santoso, Deputy for Coordination for Social Welfare Improvement at the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture Andie Megantara, and Deputy for Human Development Policy Support and Development Equity of the Setwapres Suprayoga Hadi,

In addition, the Head of the PUPR Regional Infrastructure Development Agency Rachman Arief Dienaputra, Director of Nutrition and Public Health of the Ministry of National Development/Bappenas Pujuri Ali, and Director of SUPD III of the Ministry of Home Affairs R. Budiana Subambang, Deputy for Food Insecurity and Nutrition at the National Food Agency, Nyoto Suwignyo.

In this dissemination, a cooperation (PKS) will also be signed between the BKKBN and the National Food Agency as a follow-up to the memorandum of understanding (MOU) last August in Kendal, Central Java and with the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (Kemen PUPR).

"This activity is to provide information on the results of the 2022 Update and also to give appreciation to those involved in the implementation of updating," he said.

Teguh said the updating data was published in full based on the name to address of the family for use by the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (PMK) as data on the Monitoring of the Acceleration of the Elimination of Extreme Poverty.

"This data is also supported by the Ministry of PUPR's intervention policy for the elimination of extreme poverty and also the acceleration of stunting reduction," he said.

The data is also useful for the National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction (TNP2K) of the Vice Presidential Secretariat in upgrading family data according to welfare status.

Meanwhile, the Directorate General (Dirjen) of Dukcapil of the Ministry of Home Affairs has matched the data with the Population Administration Information System.

The data update involved 330,000 field personnel consisting of 5,222 sub-district management managers, 5,222 sub-district data managers and 33,444 village level supervisors and 220,000 data collection cadres.

The budget used is IDR 314 billion which comes from the state budget.

The dissemination of the results of the 2022 Family Data Collection Update and the Stunting Data Forum will be attended by 1,106 people consisting of officials and leaders of BKKBN, representatives of provincial BKKBN, ministries and related institutions.
