Every Institute And Organization Must Have Corruption Risk Mitigation
JAKARTA - The Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) said that every organization, including within the government, needs to establish a mitigation of corruption risks that meet different needs.
This was stated by the Main Secretary of BPKP Ernadhi Sudarmanto in the 2022 Hakordia (World Anti-Corruption Day) commemoration series as well as the discussion of the Book of Theory and the Methodology of Corruption Risk Management.
"This book is here to make a positive contribution in creating a comprehensive understanding through the management of corruption risks in preventing corruption in the organization," said Ernadhi Sudarmanto as quoted from an official statement, Saturday, December 17.
The books that were dissected were BPKP personnel who contributed to efforts to eradicate corruption, especially in terms of prevention.
On the same occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Padjadjaran University (Unpad) Nunuy Nur Afiah also commented on preventing corruption.
According to him, the mechanism for preventing corruption begins with organizational work culture, ethical climate creation, integration of internal control, and risk management. For this reason, he appreciated the bibliography prepared by the BPKP auditors.
The fraud prevention capability is related to the main characteristics and abilities possessed by the organization in knowing the potential for fraud and taking appropriate preventive measures. This book is very appropriate in efforts to prevent corruption in the organization," he said as quoted by Antara.
Meanwhile, the Madya Expert Prosecutor at the Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence Eri Satriana stated that he talked about the corruption from upstream to downstream.
When economic motives become the basis for individuals to commit corruption, he said, in the concept of rationality, perpetrators or unscrupulous perpetrators of corruption have calculated the benefits that will be obtained.
This book, said Eri, discusses prevention through risk management in full.
"This book is a breakthrough in science, especially the role of economic science in preventing criminal acts of corruption. This book contains strategic and important steps in preventing corruption in Indonesia," he said.
