JAKARTA - President Director of Perumda PAM Jaya Arief Nasrudin said hundreds of his employees who were second to a water management partner company or privatization, namely Palyja and Aetra, would return to PAM Jaya.

"They, 320 of our employees who were placed in partners for a period of 250 years, have operationally operated piped drinking water services in DKI Jakarta. This means that this service and operation is nothing new for PAM Jaya," said Arief in his statement, Thursday, December 15.
25 Years ago, a cooperation agreement on the provision of clean water services in the western and eastern regions was carried out. On June 6, 117, PAM Jaya signed a water privatization cooperation with PT Garuda Dipta Semesta with Lyonnaise desaux (now Palyja) and with PT Kekarpola Airindo with Thames Water Overseas Ltd (now Aetra).
As of February 1, 1998, PAM JAYA issued a letter of assignment to a number of its employees to be seconded in Private Partners for 25 years, and he will end his assistance status on January 31, 2023.
After the end of water privatization, the status of the assisted employees will return to PAM Jaya as of February 1, 2023. In addition, 1,097 employees of Palyja and Aetra will officially become employees of Palyja at the same time.
Thousands of employees of Palyja and Aetra will be given a job offer letter, uniform measurements, ID Card photos, to the opening of Bank DKI accounts.
"After this process, to be precise on December 20 this year, thousands of people present today will also receive decrees and work agreements. Then, on January 2 to 6, they will be distributed uniforms and ID Cards," said Arief.
Furthermore, Arief revealed that this recruitment was carried out to ensure that the piping drinking water service to the community was running normally after the end of water privatization on January 31, 2023.
"Thousands of employees recruited directly by partners, Palyja and Aetra, we have also recruited them directly. This means that the composition of piped drinking water services is ready, and even better," he said.
