Appreciation Of Citizens' Reports, Immigration Of Kediri Net 9 Foreigners Immediately Overstayed With Sanctions
JAKARTA - The Kediri Immigration Office took action against nine foreign nationals (WNA) who were caught in the file examination operation. They are declared to have exceeded the residence permit or overstay.
"During 2022, the Kediri Immigration Office has carried out immigration administrative actions for nine foreign nationals," said Head of the Kediri Immigration Office Erdiansyah in Kediri, East Java (East Java), Wednesday, December 14, as reported by Antara.
He said the violations committed by the foreigners, apart from not respecting the laws and regulations in force in Indonesia, they also live more than the period of residence permits granted or overstaying.
He said that nine foreigners from 503 foreigners registered in the working area of the Kediri Immigration Office had been subject to immigration administrative action (TAK).
IT IS NOT an administrative sanction set by immigration officials against foreigners outside the judicial process.
The administrative sanctions can be in the form of an inclusion in the list of prevention or deterrence, restrictions, changes, or cancellation of residence permits, then the prohibition of being in one or several certain places in Indonesian territory, then the necessity to live in a certain place in Indonesian territory, then the imposition of burden costs to deportation.
He said that the disclosure of nine foreigners who violated the regulation was also due to the participation of the community who supported law enforcement. They also do not hesitate to report if any foreigners live in their area.
According to him, the active role of the community is very important. One of these is to maintain security and order in the regions.
In addition, supervision is also still being carried out even though the current COVID-19 pandemic is still happening.
"We hope for the participation of the community in maintaining security and public order and reporting if there are indeed disturbing whereabouts and activities of foreigners. Even though the pandemic is starting to subside, we are still carrying out surveillance activities against foreigners," he said.
Meanwhile, during 2022 the Kediri Immigration Office has issued a Limited Stay Permit (ITAS) of 440 documents, a Permanent Stay Permit (ITAP) of 46 documents and 17 Visit Stay Permit documents (ITK).
Meanwhile, the residents who most requested residence permits were 98 Malaysian citizens. The area with the highest number of residence permit holders is Kediri City with 184 holders.
