KAI Operations 484 Trains Per Day During The Nataru Holiday Moment

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI will operate 484 long-distance trains per day during the Christmas 2022 and New Year 2023 (Nataru) periods.

The number of train trips per day reaches 51 times.

KAI's President Director, Didiek Hartantyo, said the number of trains operated during the Nataru period this year rose 21 percent, when compared to last year's 375 trains operated.

"Nataru is preparing to add approximately 51 trips per day. So that we will hold this Nataru 484 trains per day," Didiek said in a meeting with Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Wednesday, December 14.

Didiek said that the realization of ticket sales as of December 13, 2022, at 21.00 WIB was 563,478 seats or 10.1 percent of the capacity provided was 5,562,836.

"For the Nataru transportation, ticket sales start from D-45, allowing customers to prepare plans to travel," he explained.

The company also increased the number of commuter line operations by eight percent.

Didiek said the effort was a measure to anticipate an increase in passengers, especially in the Jabodetabek area during the long Nataru holiday.

"So there is an increase in rail transportation from 1,047 per day to 1,127 trips every day, so KAI Group from 28,173 trips for 22 days, increased 5.9 percent to 29,837 every day," he said.
