Google Program, Rise 2023 Opened! Hold Up To 9,000 Students
JAKARTA - As a series of Google for Indonesia (G4ID) 2023 events held on Wednesday, December 7 in Jakarta, Google revealed the opening of the 2023 Bangkit program.
Bangkit is part of Grow with Google's initiative to improve student skills to prepare them for the most popular jobs in Indonesia.
Students who register for this program will not only get competence and certification globally, but they will also study soft skills such as critical thinking and time management.
Every year, Bangkit records an increase in the number of students who have registered with the program, with more than 100,000 applications accepted in the last three years.
This program is a leading industrial training for students working with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, (under the GoTo Merdeka Campus program), Traveloka, DeepTech, and several other universities.
In 2023, Google will increase the training capacity to nine thousand students. The number has tripled from last year.
This 900-hour program, which will teach students knowledge about machine learning, mobile development, and cloud computing, has produced more than five thousand Bangkit graduates.
I am always proud and inspired every time I meet with Bangkit graduates. We realize the huge need for domestic digital talent, which is 600,000 talents per year. This is where the importance of collaboration," said Nadiem Makarim, Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology in his virtual speech at the G4ID 2023 event.
"Program Bangkit is here as an initiative to develop student competence to have a career in the global world of technology, with the hope of producing technology leaders in Indonesia who can contribute to the acceleration of the digital economy in the country." Nadiem added.
