Give Tanjungan To The Minister Of PUPR, Sri Mulyani: The Father Of Development Actually, Building Civilizations

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani conveyed to the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono who was considered very capable in carrying out infrastructure development in Indonesia.

According to him, Minister Basuki was the leading figure representing the government in organizing the development of a number of facilities and infrastructure throughout the archipelago.

"Mr. Bas (Minister Basuki's nickname) is the real father of Indonesian development," he said when delivering a speech at the state property grant (BMN) handover ceremony at the Ministry of PUPR, Wednesday, December 7.

The Minister of Finance revealed that Minister Basuki had carried out his duties well by continuing to spur development since the beginning of the year. This initiative, called the state treasurer, needs to be imitated by various ministries/agencies as well as local governments (Pemda) to accelerate budget absorption.

"Mr. Bas always uses his budget quickly even since the beginning of the year. This is important to be able to continue to pursue the absorption of spending," he said.

For information, the realization of the PUPR Ministry's budget ceiling as of August 23, 2022 is IDR 47.7 trillion. This figure is equivalent to 41 percent of the total budget of IDR 116.3 trillion with physical progress of 46.9 percent.

"Conducting sustainable development means that we are also building civilization and this is done well by Mr. Bas," said Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani.
