Regarding Blacklist Of SOE Directors, Erick Thohir: Only The President Can Withdraw
JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) will implement blacklist or blacklist concepts for problematic officials of state-owned companies. Later, this blacklist can only be revoked by the president. SOE Minister Erick Thohir said the list would be a reference for banning former corruptors and those who do not have the ability to lead companies to become directors of state-owned companies. "There is a concept of blacklists rather than BUMN elements not only based on legal cases. But their performance when they are in this company, then moving here turns out to be continuously deteriorating. It means that it is not capitalized," he said in a meeting with Commission VI, written on Tuesday, December 6. Erick said, only the presidents can remove the names that are included in the black list of directors of the problematic SOEs. The goal is that there is a good mechanism in Indonesia. "And I have conveyed that time to Mr. President and Mrs. Sri Mulyani, who can revoke this blacklist of Mr. President is not me," he said. "If I (the one of those withdrawals) becomes political. Because if I don't like it, I just enter it. After all, I don't. But like TPA that the president is elected, whoever the president. So let there is something good mechanism in us," he continued. On this occasion, Erick admitted that he had also communicated with the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) and the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) to make a blacklist of BUMN officials. According to him, these two institutions are ready to support. "This permit is not ahead of one of them. We have spoken with BPKP with BPK, they support once the concept of blacklists rather than BUMN elements," he said. Previously, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) plans to make a blacklist for officials of problematic state-owned companies. SOE Minister Erick Thohir said that the blacklist of problematic BUMN officials would be given directly to President Joko Wido (Jokowi) and the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).
"We also want to create blacklists. So people who have been proven corrupt, there are legal issues of what all and so on. That's an agreement later on the results of the BPKP audit supported by the BPK, later we will submit it to the President, Mrs. Minister of Finance as a shareholder of BUMN we create blacklist," he said on the Road to G20 agenda with Himpuni virtually, Tuesday, October 25. Erick admitted that he did not want the directors or the president directors of state-owned companies who had proven problematic to be trusted again to lead other SOEs. For example, said Erick, the directors of PTPN who once made the company lose up to Rp41 trillion will not be looked back at to lead other state-owned companies. "So don't let this happen again," he said.
