Meldekat Return Inflation, November Note To Be At Level 5.42 Percent
JAKARTA The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reports that the inflation record in November 2022 is 5.42 percent on an annual basis or year on year (yoy).
Deputy for Distribution and Services Statistics, BPS Setianto, said that calendar year inflation (January-November 2022) was 4.82 percent. Meanwhile, month-to-month inflation, or from October to November, is 0.09 percent.
"If we look at the weakening inflationary pressure last November year on year," he said through a virtual channel on Thursday, December 1.
Setianto explained that the highest contributors to inflation include gasoline, household fuel, air transportation rates, cigarettes, rice, cigarettes, and rice.
"The largest annual inflation is in the transportation group with an inflation rate of 15.45 percent and a share of 1.86 percent," he said.
To note, inflation levels decreased for two consecutive months after previously reaching a peak in September 2022 with 5.95 percent yoy influenced by the increase in fuel oil prices (BBM) at that time.
The inflation level then slowed to 5.71 percent in October 2022 in line with the decreasing effect of rising fuel prices.
