M Bloc Space Wants To Be Revitalized So That It Can Be A Place To Heal Residents Of The Capital City

JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government wants to rearrange M Bloc Space so that it can become a healing place for residents of the capital city. Development will begin gradually in 2023.

"A kind of place for people to heal, right? The city needs places of interaction such as recreation," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Highways Agency Hari Nugroho in Jakarta, Thursday, December 1.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will revitalize the M Bloc Space area by cooperating with a number of parties including Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) to SOEs located around the area.

The arrangement includes the development of parks and pedestrians around the area. Regarding the budget, he continued, currently, each related OPD is still being prepared, including BUMN, Peruri, which is around the area.

"So from the Peruri office, it is a heritage area that will be developed into a green area, there is a playground, there is a place of interaction," added Hari, quoted by Antara.

His party is also finalizing the concept of structuring in an area where young people gather and are busy on weekends.

"Later, they will make a Budget Plan (RAB) first, what Peruri will be able to enter, from the local government to enter. If I have (programs) there, we will enter the budget," he said.

He hopes that later the area will become a tourist destination that will optimally attract visitors.

Around the M Bloc Space area, culinary businesses are found serving archipelago and western foods as one of the attractions for visitors.

In addition, M Bloc is near Martha Christina Tiahahu Park and Blok M Terminal as well as shopping centers.

Not only that, but it is also easy to reach near the area because public transportation access is available, namely MRT Jakarta ASEAN, TransJakarta through the integrated Cakra Selaras Wahana (CSW) bus stop.
