"Bruce Lee is a bridge between the East and West that introduces Chinese Kung Fu to the world, a scientist in combat and an iconic performing artist who revolutionizes martial arts and action films," said Ang Lee commenting on Bruce Lee's figure as quoted by Variety, Thursday.
Bruce Lee's Biography will also involve Dan Futterman as a scriptwriter. Then for the producer position, Ang Lee hooked along with Lawrence Gray, Shannon Lee, Ben Everard, and Brian Bell.
This biopic reunites Ang Lee and Elizabeth Gabler on a joint project after previously working at the Life of Pi in 2012.
"We are all at Sony and 3000 Pictures proud to help Ang and his team of filmmakers create what we believe will be an extraordinary theatrical event," Elizabeth Gabler said commenting on her union with Ang Lee.

Ang Lee called Bruce Lee's biography, starring his own son Mason Lee as the iconic character. The film is nothing foreign to him. Ang Lee has made a film with the martial arts genre through Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon which led him to win an Oscar in 2000.
"Received as not completely American or fully Chinese, Bruce Lee is a bridge between the East and West that introduces Chinese Kung Fu to the world, a battle scientist and iconic performing artist who revolutionizes martial arts and action films," Ang Lee reported by Deadline, Thursday, December 1.
"I feel compelled to tell a story about a brilliant and unique human being, to have extraordinary strength in a body weighing 135 pounds, and through tireless hard work, to make an impossible dream come true," he continued.
Ang Lee has been preparing for this film for a long time including his son. Mason Lee has been acting for Bruce Lee for the last three years in Asia.
32-year-old Mason Lee has appeared in Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk, The Hangover Part II and has recently starred in Taiwan's romantic comedy Stand By Me, Hong Kong drama: Limbo and Who KILLED Cock Robin.
He was nominated for the Golden Horse Award as Best Supporting Actor for both of the last films.
