Kemenkop UKM Akhirnya Pecat Juga Dua ASN Yang Perkosa Pegawai

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (Kemenkop UKM) finally fired ZPA and WH, two ASN who were the perpetrators of the rape of one of the employees at the ministry at the end of 2019.

"We have decided to impose disciplinary sanctions in the form of dismissal of perpetrators of sexual violence," said Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki in Jakarta, Monday, November 28.

In addition to firing, Teten also imposed sanctions for other ASN with the initials EW in the form of a lower one-level decline during the year. Meanwhile, MM, another perpetrator who is an honorary staff, was sentenced to termination of work contracts.

The decision was taken by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs after coordinating with the State Civil Service Agency (BKN), the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA), the State Civil Apparatus Commission (KASN), and the results of the independent team search for facts on cases of sexual violence and rape.

In the press conference, Teten Masduki mentioned four reasons for resolving the case to drag on. First, there is a warrant to stop the investigation (SP3), the two peace efforts between the perpetrator and the victim, the three marriages of one of the perpetrators with the victim, and finally a fairly close kinship relationship within the Kemenkop UKM.

"This is the reason that an independent team found why the settlement of this case could drag on," continued Teten, quoted from Antara.

In addition, the Kemenkop UKM canceled a scholarship to ZPA, one of the perpetrators of rape, to the Ministry of Bappenas.

"In principle, we do not tolerate sexual violence in any form," said the Presidential Chief of Staff (KSP) for the period September 2, 2015 to January 17, 2018.

He emphasized that in this case he would take firm action against anyone involved. In addition to unlawful acts, the perpetrator's actions have tarnished the name of the relevant ministries.
