The Joint SAR Team For The Evacuation Of Four Remains Of Victims Of The Cianjur Earthquake In Cijedil Village
The joint Search and Rescue Team (SAR) evacuated four bodies of earthquake victims in Cijedil Village, Cugenang District, Cianjur Regency, West Java Province, Saturday, November 26. Four bodies were evacuated at 09.30 WIB in the Mangunkerta Street area in Cijedil Village, consisting of two bodies of adults, one body of an adult woman, and one body of a toddler boy. The officers took the four bodies to the Forensic and MEDikolegal Installation of the Sayang Hospital to be identified by the Police DVI Team.
The discovery of the four bodies increased the number of fatalities due to the earthquake in Cianjur Regency, which according to data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) on Friday, November 25, reached 310 people. In addition to claiming casualties, the earthquake that hit the Cianjur area on November 21, 2022 caused many people to be injured and forced at least 1,120 families consisting of 58,362 people to evacuate. Gempa bumi also caused residents' houses, schools, places of worship, health facilities, and damaged office facilities in Cianjur Regency.
