MU And Cristiano Ronaldo Separately, Rio Ferdinand: Erik Ten Hag Will Be So Happy
JAKARTA - Manchester United finally announced the termination of Cristiano Ronaldo's contract. The Red Devils management claims this is a mutual agreement with the player.
This is the aftermath of Ronaldo's recent controversial interview. In his talks with Piers Morgan, the player who earned the nickname CR7 opened up the club, management and manager, Erik ten Hag.
Former Manchester United player, Rio Ferdinand, believes this step will make all parties happy. The club, Ronaldo and also Ten Hag will be satisfied with the decisions that have been made.
I think both sides would be happy now. He has clearly conducted the interview with a mindset, wanting to leave the club. He was not happy (at the club) and made it very clear," Ferdinand said as quoted by The Sun, Wednesday, November 23.
"Erik ten Hag also gets what he wants in this situation. So both parties are happy, so continue and the next chapter is for Cristiano Ronaldo," he continued.
The man, who is considered a close friend by Ronaldo, admitted that he did not know where the Portuguese star would be anchored. According to him, it depends on the motivation of former Juventus and Real Madrid players.
"Is it the Champions League? Is that money? Or just keep playing somewhere with a good climate," said the former pillar of the England national defense.
"This will be highlighted and happening behind the scenes, but we will find out, I'm sure in time," he concluded.
