Who Is Jokowi's Choice For The DKI Regional Secretary To Companion Anies?

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government handed over the names of three candidates for DKI Regional Secretary to President Jokowi through the Ministry of Home Affairs. These three names have passed a series of tests and are declared to have passed the final open selection by the DKI Pemprov selection committee.

The three candidates are Sri Haryati, currently serving as Assistant for Economy and Finance for the Regional Secretary of DKI, Marullah Matali as Mayor of South Jakarta, and Sigit Wijatmoko as Mayor of North Jakarta.

The head of the DKI Personnel Agency, Chaidir, said that the three names proposal was submitted to President Jokowi for the final assessment test process as the basis for determining the SK for appointment.

"DKI has sent the best three names. Please President Jokowi's final assessment team through the Ministry of Home Affairs to choose one of the best," said Chaidir to VOI.

It is known that the three of them had held a number of different positions during their tenure as DKI PNS. However, only Sri Haryati and Marullah had served when Joko Widodo was still the Governor of DKI.

When Jokowi was still in charge of DKI, Sri Haryati became the Head of the North Jakarta Livestock, Fisheries and Maritime Affairs Office in 2013. Meanwhile, Marullah was appointed directly by Jokowi as Assistant Deputy Governor of DKI for Tourism in 2013.

1. Sri Haryati

Sri was born and raised in Bogor, West Java. He also completed his undergraduate to doctoral education at the Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Natural Resource and Environmental Management Study Program.

Sri's first position as an echelon III official began as Head of the North Jakarta Livestock, Fisheries and Marine Office in 2013. Then, continued with the Head of the Food Security and Counseling Division of the DKI KPKP Service.

His career path was continued as Acting Assistant for Economy and Finance of the DKI Regional Secretariat since 2018 and was appointed as Assistant for Economy and Finance with a definitive position in 2019. Now, he still serves as Assistant for Economy and Finance, as well as Acting (Pj) Regional Secretary for DKI until there is a position as Regional Secretary of DKI that is definitive.

2. Marullah Matali

Marullah was born in Jakarta in 1965. He completed his education to master degree, namely S2 Islamic Law at the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta.

Marullah started his career as a city civil servant as a staff of the DKI Jakarta Mental and Spiritual Development Bureau. Several years later, he was appointed as echelon II official as Head of the DKI Education and Mental Bureau.

Furthermore, Jokowi appointed him as Assistant Deputy to the Governor of DKI for the Tourism Sector. His position continued as Assistant Deputy to the Governor of DKI for Population Control. Until 2018, he was appointed as Mayor of South Jakarta Administration.

. Sigit Wijatmoko

Sigit was born in Jakarta in 1974. He finished university at the Institute of Domestic Government (IPDN) until his master's degree, namely Masters in Government Science.

The first echelon III position was held by Sigit as Secretary of the Transportation Agency in 2015. His career was continued in the second echelon position, namely Deputy Head of the DKI Transportation Agency. Furthermore, he was appointed by Anies as Mayor of North Jakarta since 2019.
