Israel And Western Intelligence Try To Care For Civil War, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian: Iran Is Not Libya Or Sudan!
JAKARTA - Iranian authorities accuse Israel and Western intelligence services of planning to trigger civil war in the country.
The allegation comes a day after seven people died in Izeh City, located southwest.
The state government's official media described the incident as a "terrorist attack".
"Various security services, Israel and several western politicians who have made plans for Iran's civil war, destruction and disintegration should know that Iran is not Libya or Sudan," Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said on Twitter. November 17th.
Foreign Minister Amirabdollahian further said that the public would not be deceived by such a plan.
"Today, the enemy has targeted Iran's integrity and Iranian identity. People's wisdom will disappoint the enemy," he said.
Authorities in Tehran for weeks accused western powers of sparking national protests over the death of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Kurdish woman.
He died in police custody of morality, after being arrested for violating the country's strict dress code for women.
On Wednesday, Iran said it was arresting French and Israeli intelligence agents linked to the protest movement.
European countries accuse Iran of threatening its citizens.
French President Emmanuel Macron said Tehran was acting more aggressively against his country, as a result making the region unstable.
"I see the increasing aggressiveness of Iran against us, with unacceptable (and) regional aggressiveness hostage-taking with very aggressive actions in recent days on Iraqi soil," President Macron said after the G20 leader summit in Indonesia.
On Wednesday, Iranian courts sentenced three protesters to death in Tehran for "corruption on earth" and "merging God", state media reported.
However, protesters can appeal the court's decision.
