What Is The Affirmation Line? Here Are The Requirements And Rates Of Scholarships Accepted
YOGYAKARTA - The Indonesian government opens affirmation channels for New Student Admissions (PPDB) every new school year. Affirmation pathways are provided for elementary, junior high, high school/vocational schools, and universities in various regions. One of them is the application of affirmation channels, namely at PPDB 2022.
However, there are still many prospective students who do not know what the affirmation pathway is. The government through the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) provides an affirmation route to help students from underprivileged families to be able to pursue education.
What is the Affirmation Path
The affirmation line is a new student admission route provided by the government for students with underprivileged economic backgrounds. The affirmation line is a form of program from the central and regional governments for handling underprivileged families.
The affirmation line is opened with a limited quota. Based on the Permendikbud policy No.44 of 2019, new student admissions for the affirmation route are provided with a quota of 15 percent of the total PPDB quota for each school.
Affirmation lane registrants must include some proof of conditions, such as the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) or the Incapable Certificate (SKTM).
New Student Admission Affirmation Path
The affirmation pathway for accepting new students at universities is given in the form of scholarships. The undergraduate scholarship is given to students from underprivileged families who are a maximum of 24 years old. Students who register for the affirmative are allowed to choose a maximum of two universities or Polytechnics.
In addition to underprivileged students, affirmation pathways are also provided for several categories, namely:
There are four lanes provided for students who want to register for affirmation scholarships. The four lanes are lines without tests, independent lanes, the Polytechnic (with tests), and the report card (ADik).
Students who have successfully passed the affirmation line selection will get a scholarship of Rp. 2.4 million for education costs per semester and Rp. 6 million for living expenses per semester. Scholarships will be distributed in the quarter, amounting to Rp. 3 million.
Affirmation scholarships also provide other forms of assistance in addition to money. Students who receive affirmative scholarships also receive health insurance, accidents, and deaths borne by local governments.
Requirements for Registering the Affirmation Path
Approximation Line Registration imposes several requirements that must be met by students or students. Since 2018, the government has set a policy for not using SKTM as a condition for registration of affirmation lines.
The following are the requirements for registration of the affirmation line.
If all document requirements are complete, students can register through the PPDB website in each region.
This is the explanation of the affirmation pathway for the acceptance of new students or new students. The government hopes that the opening of the affirmation route can facilitate equal access to education for children from underprivileged families.
